Resurrection: Ertuğrul
A true masterpiece combining history, action, political plots, and intense drama. It follows Ertuğrul, father of Osman, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
Spartacus
One of the best shows about Roman gladiators and their revolt. The only downside was the lead-actor change following the original actor's unfortunate passing.

A historical drama continuing the Viking saga through the adventures, conflicts, and legendary figures of the Viking Age.

A good show about Ottoman history, mixing historical events with an exciting account of Sultan Mehmed II's conquest of Constantinople.
The Last Kingdom
A good show about early English history, with plenty of action and an interesting storyline.
