Hardware Wishlist

Machines, peripherals, and desk gear.

The current want: a small home server so I can stop renting a VPS for work that belongs here.

Still on the list. The follow-up, after finally owning an iPhone at all.

A large Apple trackpad for the Mac, instead of doing everything with a mouse.

A paper tablet for notes and reading, without a glowing phone or iPad screen.

Things that used to live on this list.

Eight or nine years ago a good wireless keyboard and mouse felt like a luxury I could not stretch to. I have them now.

Apple hardware sat in the same far-away pile. This was the machine I kept wanting when buying one still felt out of reach.

More screen, let alone an ultra-wide, was not a serious option when the desk and the budget were both small.

A couple of years ago an iPhone was still a dream. I have one now, which still surprises the version of me who wrote it on a list.

The large iPad lived next to the MacBook on that old list of Apple things I did not buy.
